Click here or on the image at right for full details. In addition to the many features of previous versions, we've added an automatic installer and configurator by Ken Peters, improved the landclass, added new objects (Empress Hotel, Legislature, Johnson St. Bridge and many more), added harbour markers, and the Patricia Bay government facility.  There's a slew of new small airfield and many new floatplane facilities.  Owners of Vancouver+ will get many real-world flights amongst these.  There are 7 new heliports, 2 including traffic (Van+ users only).  We've also worked to ensure full compatibility with Don Grovestine's newly released  CYYJ (2007).

Included are revised shorelines, landclass and 38m mesh and buffer meshes for South-Eastern Vancouver Island; boat docks with static boats, seaplane docks and terminal buildings for Harbour Air, Kenmore Air and West Coast Air; simple representations of the Johnson and Bay Street bridges; a number of generic buildings simulating the converted warehouses that front the harbour; piers, buildings, breakwater and other components of the Ogden Point Terminal; dock, service building and pilot boats of the Pacific Pilotage Authority; Odgen Point Cafe and Dive Shop; marine navigational lights for Victoria Harbour and area, including Esquimalt harbour and Oak Bay; antennae location corrections for the area; Centre of the Universe observatory, Elk Lake Boathouse, Christ Church Cathedral; AFCADs included: updated Victoria Harbour (CYWH) seaplane base, updated Camel Point Public Heliport (CBF7), Victoria International Seaplane Base (CAP5); updated AFCADs for the ship and boat traffic (SEA1, VIC1, VIC2, VIC3); AI craft models and repaints (Cruise ships are repaints of Asuka model by Mitsuya Hamaguchi: MS Amsterdam of the Holland America Line travelling from Victoria to Vancouver, MS Summit of the Celebrity Cruise Line travelling from Seattle to Victoria); S-61 Sea-King helicopter in Helijet colours; Pacific Pilot custom vessel working from the Pilot dock; 22, 30 and 40 foot vessels plying the harbour and nearby Straight of Juan de Fuca.  Effects included for lights, water, smoke effects.  Several flights are offered, including two flights for owners of the Aerosoft Beaver (not required).  Ultimate Terrain compatible (not required).  Users of Misty Fjords will also get additional cruise ship traffic: the Island Princess and the Volendam alternating with the Amsterdam and Summit.  Replaces viflat.zip, ve4_tr1.zip, vicenh02.zip, vicenh03.zip, vicenh04.zip and vicenh05.zip.  Detailed documentation included.  For support visit the support forum.  By Jon Patch and Holger Sandmann.

CYVR Building Fix for FSX
cyvr_bfix.zip
FSX
Microsoft has done a fantastic job in FSX of improving CYVR in both accuracy and detail. Unfortunately it looks like an airphoto showing a large black area at the northwest corner of the terminal area was misinterpreted as a building. In reality this was an area of pre-load fill covered with a black tarp. It is now removed. This file excludes that non-existant building.

Objects for designers
ve04_obj.zip

gmax objects for designers
  FS9

ve4_r12.zip
object libraries
for designers using Rwy12
FS9

Simple gmax objects which may serve as starting points for other designers.  You will need to have the gmax FS2004 gamepack installed to modify these, and have a basic knowledge of gmax.  Placement of the objects requires knowledge of XML.Objects: boats, boat cradle, fences, intercity bus, park benches, information kiosk, marine lights, a variety of light poles, school bus, security booth with transparent windows, a portable building with deck and coke machine, a tree planter and a simple zodiac water craft. Click here or on the image for a full description.  These objects were created for vicenh04 above.  Note: the extended bitmap textures are supplied for use in FS2004; you will need to make standard bitmap copies for viewing in gmax.  Also available, thanks to Gary Mills: these objects in two object libraries for Rwy12 users.

Vancouver Object Corrections for Ultimate Terrain
van_object_corr_ut.zip
Correction of locations for Vancouver Canada default objects for Ultimate Terrain users
  FS9

The default shorelines that come with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 are inaccurately placed.  Consequently roads and other features are misplaced.  Ultimate Terrain from Flight1 Software corrects this, however the Microsoft default objects are then misplaced.  This software corrects the Lions Gate Bridge, Canada Place, Harbour Centre, Burrard Bridge, Science World and BC Place Stadium.  Further it excludes a number of generic MS buildings that now appear placed in False Creek.  For developers, the XML code is included. Click here or on the image for larger image.  This is vocu.zip at Flightsim.  Do not install if you have purchased Vancouver+.

Airport Corrections for South-West
British Columbia

ap1514rw.zip

FS9

Corrects airports in the LOD5 cell 15x14, Vancouver Canada area.  Airports were misplaced by as much as 850m.  CAK3, CAL3, CAM3, CBT6, CYHE, CYLY, and CYPS are corrected.  Modified CAM3 by Bruce Ellison included.  All airports have been activated for AI use. Buildings with road conflicts removed from CYNJ.   Airport features at CYYJ and CYVR modified. Some Rwy12 objects used, but Rwy12 not necessary. Ultimate Terrain or similar, and FSGenesis mesh or similar recommended.  Do not install if you have purchased Vancouver+.
